When you sign up for insurance, you're really signing a contract. That contract says your insurance company agrees to provide payment or other services under certain circumstances; in exchange, you agree to pay your premiums on time. For most people, that contract holds even when they need to file an insurance claim. But sometimes, insurance companies don't hold up their end of the bargain.
