Adam K. Shea

Adam SheaAdam Shea is a nationally recognized lawyer with extensive experience and success representing individuals and families in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Adam's proven track record of helping those who have been harmed by wrongful conduct, violations of safety rules, and defective products has focused on claims involving automotive product defect, tire product defect, commercial truck accidents, trash truck accidents, airplane and helicopter crashes, train disaster, government liability for dangerous condition of public property, and general negligence.

During Adam's legal career, he has exclusively represented individuals and families who have suffered a variety of catastrophic injuries, including burn injuries, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries including quadriplegia and paraplegia, amputations, and extensive orthopedic injuries, as well as handling wrongful death cases.

Adam's track record of helping people has resulted in more than fifty settlements and jury verdicts in excess of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000), including numerous multi-million verdicts and settlements.

Adam has extensive experience handling cases involving product defect related failures, including 15 passenger van rollovers; defectively designed and manufactured tires leading to tread separations; negligent service and repair of tires; defective fuel systems causing fires and burn injuries; truck and sport utility vehicle rollovers; roof crush causing deaths, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries; defective restraint systems; seat back failures; child safety seat defects; airbag deployment failures; van conversion defects; vehicle crashworthiness; and a variety of other automobile and motorcycle related product and performance defects.

Adam has been recognized for his legal ability and ethical standards by the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings with an A-V rating, which is the highest possible rating.

Adam is a member of several professional organizations, including being a member of the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys Association of California, the Board of Directors of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, the Consumer Attorneys of California, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and the American Association for Justice.

Adam is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars on a variety subjects, including jury selection, examination of expert witnesses, handling product defect lawsuits, conducting discovery, jury selection, handling government liability and dangerous condition cases, use of technology, and developing themes for opening statements and closing arguments. Adam has also written extensively about similar subjects for legal publications.

Prior to founding Panish, Shea & Boyle LLP in 2005, Adam was a partner at Greene, Broillet, Panish & Wheeler, where he worked for fourteen years.

Adam earned his Juris Doctor degree Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1993, and is a 1990 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned Bachelor's degrees in Economics/Business and History.
